ABOUT THE COMMISSION
The Commission is composed of three (3) members appointed from the Town of Diamond Valley Council and up to two (2) Directors at Large appointed by the Commission.
Operations of the wastewater treatment facilities are now being managed by the Town of Diamond Valley.  Since the commissioning of the upgraded treatment facility in the fall of 2025, the Commission is working towards Disestablishment.

The Commission is beginning the process of Disestablishing, and turning the assets, debt and operations of the the sewage lagoon system over to its only member municipality, the Town of Diamond Valley.  The upgrade of the Lagoon Upgrade is anticipated to be substantially completed in the fall of 2025 and as such, the Commission is winding down and turning the project, and all operations, over to the Town.

Effective November 2025, the Commission will only meet (as required) to undertake the work of Disestablishment.  Agendas will be posted to the Meeting Agendas page as public notice of the meetings.

The Commission meetings are open to the public, and livestreamed for convenience, unless closed to the public in accordance with the Municipal Government Act or the Access to Information Act.  Links to view the meeting online are published on each agenda.

The Commission's facilities are composed of the Turner Valley lift station, equipment in the Black Diamond lift station, the sewage lagoons, the blower building the transfer station and the approximately 180 acres of property on which they sit in Diamond Valley.  The land and assets owned by the Commission will be transferred to the Town of Diamond Valley as part of the Disestablishment process.
